Anaheim 1 Recap
The 2019 Monster Energy Supercross season is underway, and already Dubya USA-supported racers have made a statement as they begin their season-long race for the championship. The season kicked off at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA, where Monster Energy Yamaha Factory’s Justin Barcia raced to victory on his YZ450F equipped with Kite Elite hubs and D.I.D STX rims. Dean Wilson grabbed the holeshot on his way to a 4th place finish, while 450SX rookie and former 250 champ Aaron Plessinger finished in 6th place.

Dubya USA riders in the 250SX West ranks fared just as well, sweeping the A1 podium with Colt Nichols taking the opening round win aboard his Kite Elite/Excel Takasago-equipped Yamaha YZ250F. Teammate Dylan Ferrandis took the number 2 spot, while KTM’s Shane McElrath finished 3rd.

The series then headed to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ for the second round of the 2019 season. This time it was Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-WPS-KTM’s Blake Baggett that took the checkered flag in the 450SX class, riding his KTM 450SX-F Factory Edition to victory on his Talon Ultra-Light hubs and Excel Takasago rims. Defending champ Jason Anderson returned to form on his Talon Ultra-Light/Excel A60-equipped Rockstar Energy Husqvarna FC450, joining Baggett on the podium with a 2nd place finish.

In the 250SX class, Colt Nichols kept the momentum going with a 2nd place finish, while Shane McElrath repeated in Arizona with another 3rd place finish.
