Kite Finishes 2019 Supercross Season on Top
It’s been a wild and crazy season, with fans of the young Cooper Webb sitting on edge for the past four months wondering if he would stay consistent enough to hang on and have a shot at the title. This past weekend, Cooper proved that he could not only compete for the title, but claim it for himself after holding the red plate for most of the season. The story began the week before when Webb won the 450SX main event in East Rutherford, New Jersey, granting him enough of a lead in the standings to take some of the pressure off of the final round in Las Vegas. In the end, Webb’s 3rd place finish in Sin City was more than enough to secure his first career title, while KTM Factory Racing teammate Marvin Musquin sailed to a 2nd place finish and claimed the #3 overall spot in the 450SX ranks.
The 250SX battles featured some riders on Dubya USA wheels as well, with Justin Cooper finishing 2nd in New Jersey and finishing the season in 2nd Overall in the 250SX East standings. In the 250SX West class, Dylan Ferrandis won the East/West Showdown in Las Vegas on his way to winning the class championship.
Cooper Webb won the 2019 450SX Championship on Kite Elite hubs laced to D.I.D ST-X rims. Teammate Marvin Musquin rides the same wheels as Webb. Zach Osborne runs Talon Ultra-Light hubs laced to Excel A60 rims. Justin Cooper and teammate Dylan Ferrandis (2019 250SX West Champ) run Talon Elite / Excel Takasago wheel sets.
