Two More Victories for KTM’s Marvin Musquin
We are now 12 rounds into the 2019 Monster Energy Season and the KTM Factory Racing team continues to dominate the 450SX competition. The series traveled to Indianapolis for Round 11 with the red plate firmly in the hands of Cooper Webb, who boasts five race wins this season. By the end of the race, though, it was teammate Marvin Musquin on his Kite Elite/D.I.D STX equipped KTM that would take the checkered flag. He was followed across the line by Rocky Mountain ATV/MC-WPS-KTM rider Blake Baggett aboard his KTM Factory Edition running Talon Ultra-Light hubs and Excel Takasago rims. Webb would end up in third, making it another KTM podium sweep.
As the series made its west coast return in Seattle this past weekend, it was once again Musquin would take top honors in the 450SX class. Although Musquin would end up losing some points for an in-race penalty, the victory was his second of the season and heats up the standings as he pursues teammate Cooper Webb at the top of the leaderboard. Dylan Ferrandis represented Dubya in the 250SX class, racing to victory on his Kite Elite/Excel Takasago equipped Yamaha YZ250F.
The series next heads to Houston for Round 13 before continuing east to Nashville. With just four rounds remaining before the season finale in Las Vegas, each and every point is critical as the top racers fight for the title.
