Although mutli-time Grand National Champion Jared Mees had locked up the 2017 title weeks before, Flat Track fans from around Southern California were excited for the final round of the American Flat Track series in Perris, CA on October 7, 2017. The sport made great strides in its first season since being rebranded “American Flat Track,” thanks in no small part to Indian Motorcycles and their seemingly unbeatable “Wrecking Crew” made up of past champs aboard the brand’s exciting new FTR750 race bike.
But fans were in store for much more than just a final round of racing, as Tom White was honored before the race. No stranger to a dirt oval, Tom was invited by Chris Agajanian, Indian Motorcycles and Perris Auto Speedway to take his brand-new Indian FTR750 for a few laps of honor at the season finale, and Tom was ecstatic at the opportunity. Legendary mechanic Alan Olson helped him prepare for the event, and Tom was greeted by cheers from the fans as well as the pro racers that made their way out of the pits to meet him.
Congratulations, Tom, from all of us here at Dubya USA!
